The goal of Aversion
Hypnotherapy is to decrease or
eliminate undesirable cravings.
Under hypnosis, a strong feeling
of dislike or disgust is
paired with the undesirable
craving e.g. eating chocolate
could be associated with
unpleasant images, tastes,
textures and/or smells.
To use the example of chocolate.
The result of this therapy will
be to make the sight, smell and
taste of chocolate so unpleasant
to the client that they are no
longer interested in chocolate,
chocolate flavoured and
chocolate coated foods.
This form of therapy is
incredibly successful with many
different types of food
cravings, sweet or savoury and
will has the same positive
achievement with drinks such as
colas etc.
Aversion Hypnotherapy can also
be successfully used with other
conditions including alcohol
abuse, drug abuse, and smoking,
pathological gambling and sexual
problems. Although with these
conditions, Aversion
Hypnotherapy is more commonly
used as part of a more extensive
programme of therapy.
